We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization affiliated with statewide safety net associations that aims to advance health equity in North Carolina by supporting marginalized communities to develop their own sustainable solutions to improve health through education, research, and data
We strive to be the partner of choice for North Carolina's historically underrepresented populations, safety-net providers, study sponsors, and funders invested in the pursuit of clinical trial and clinical care equity.
At THIS-NC, we value lived experiences and elevating community voices. We believe that communities know what they need and have the best solutions for any challenge. We support communities by capturing the voices of diverse populations, including racial and ethnic minority groups and those that reside in rural locations.
We have a long history of supporting Free & Charitable Clinics, Public Health Departments, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) and other critical safety net providers. We support safety net organizations to conduct generate research questions and solutions in collaboration with the communities that they serve.
We provide education to communities and safety net partners to increase clinical trial access and equity through curricula, toolkits, webinars and speaking engagements.
We partner closely with Rural Health Clinics, Free & Charitable Clinics, Health Departments, FQHCs and other organizations who serve our most underrepresented populations to develop solutions to meet their community's most critical needs
We offer a variety of services to our communities and safety net partners including grant writing support, project management as well as publication and dissemination support.

THIS-NC is a non-profit organization that partners with safety net providers to support research and quality improvement projects that are driven by the communities that they serve. We work with organizations to support:
We are closely affiliated to the state's primary care association (PCA), the North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA) that supports the Federally Qualified Health Centers in North Carolina, the North Carolina Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NCAFCC), North Carolina Central University (NCCU), School Based Health Alliance, local health departments, Rural Health Centers, and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. We have experience partnering with other organizations and leading grants to increase health and clinical trial equity. We are engaged in our communities and are a trusted partner for equity in our state.
We partner with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Rural Health Centers (RHCs), Free and Charitable Clinics, state and national government agencies, insurance payers, healthcare vendors, and value-based care entities (CINs, ACOs).
